My lexan inserts luckily fit nice and snug into the frames when mounted to the fuselage, so I felt th at the use of screws would be redundant. I elected to proseal the lexan to the frames after I painted the lexan black where it contacted the frame. Then I polished the frames, as I'm choosing to not paint them.
